( Irna ) - Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani will meet European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, on Saturday to discuss Iran's nuclear case, EU sources confirmed to IRNA in Brussels Wednesday.
"We are going to the talks with good expectations," said the sources speaking on condition of anonymity.
"But the talks are difficult," they added.
No Portuguese officials will be present at the EU-Iran talks.
It will be like Spain which offered to hold the Solana-Larijani talks in Madrid on 31 May, noted the sources.
Portugal takes over the rotating EU Presidency from Germany on 1 July.
Iranian negotiator Javad Vaeedi met with Robert Cooper, Solana's deputy, in Vienna last week.
