( ForUm ) - President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko promises to submit for the VRU consideration the candidacy of Viktor Yanukovych to the position of the Prime Minister of Ukraine, if the Party of Regions forms the coalition in the new parliament. Viktor Yushchenko said in an interview on the "Inter" channel on Sunday evening.

Yushchenko emphasized that last time he also suggested the candidacy of Yanukovych, as the coalition had been formed, which supported him. At the same time, he noted that he didn't want to speak about how the present coalition was formed.

"The President in this question must admit one fact - the elections took place. They were recognized by everyone. The coalition was formed. It proposed the candidacy of the PM. I considered it and gave it to the parliament," Yushchenko said, "UNIAN" reports.

The President refused to name a person, whom he wanted to see on the PM position. He noted that it can be estimated as the pressure on the voters. In general, Yushchenko emphasized he would like this person to "understand deeply national priorities of Ukraine".
