Turkish military says four PKK terrorists were killed in Northern Iraq
Turkish military on Wednesday said four terrorists have been killed in a clash south of Turkey's border with Iraq, Anadolu Agency reported.
The Turkish General Staff said in a statement posted on its website that Turkish forces penetrated some couple of kilometers into northern Iraq to track down a group of terrorists after warding off an attack on a Turkish military post on the border earlier in the day.
The Turkish military said its war planes gave aerial support to the forces on the ground.
The terrorists organization PKK have recently speeded up its attacks on Turkish security forces, killing nearly three dozen Turkish troops over the last two months.
PKK terrorists uses northern Iraq as a launchpad for their attacks on targets inside Turkey.
