The Gold Exchange of Turkey increased gold imports up to 4,200 kilograms in November compared to 730 kilograms during the same month in 2011, the Gold Exchange's website reported on Wednesday.
Between January and November, 117,100 kilograms of gold were imported compared to 78,700 kilograms during the same period in 2011.
Silver imports in November 2012 amounted to 11,900 kilograms compared to 5,200 kilograms in November of the previous year. During the 11 month period, 132,700 kg of silver were imported compared to 42,800 kilograms during the same period last year.
In November 2012, Turkey's Gold Exchange did not import any platinum or palladium.
