Turkey threatens to reconsider its relations with US

Turkey may reconsider its relations with the US if the authorities of the country raise the issue of the events of 1915 next year, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu was quoted Nov. 26 by Kanal7 TV channel as saying.
"Turkey will not allow the so-called "Armenian genocide" to be used as a means of pressure on Ankara," he said.
Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that Turkey's predecessor the Ottoman Empire allegedly carried out "genocide" against the Armenians living in Anatolia in 1915. While strengthening the efforts to promote the so-called "genocide" in the world, Armenians have achieved its recognition by the parliaments of some countries.
