Turkish Airlines cancelled 44 domestic and international flights on Jan. 6, Hurriyet newspaper reported.
One of the reasons was heavy snowfall in Istanbul.
In particular, Turkish Airlines cancelled flights to Budapest and Geneva. The company recently also cancelled flights to Antalya, Budapest, Zagreb and Tel Aviv.
Snowfalls and extreme cold also forced Turkey to cancel lessons in schools in some of country's provinces, as well as in Istanbul.
