Turkish police resumed anti-terrorist operations against FETO (the movement of Fethullah Gulen) in nine provinces of the country, Trend reports referring to Turkish media.

During the operations, 29 people were detained, five of whom were military personnel.

Earlier, 103 military men were detained in Istanbul and 188 in Ankara, all of whom were accused of contacts with the Gulen movement.

Earlier, Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar said 15,153 people were dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces as part of the fight against the FETO terrorist movement.

Fethullah Gulen and his supporters are accused of the July 15, 2016 military coup attempt in Turkey.
