In 2018, Turkish ports received 8,386 cruise ships, and 3,891 of them arrived from other countries, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
In 2018, private cruise ships arrived most of all in Turkish ports, according to the report.
“In 2018, 5,998 private cruise ships arrived in Turkish ports, and 3,333 of them arrived from other countries,” the report said.
During the reporting period, 2,388 commercial cruise ships arrived in Turkish ports.
“In 2018, most private cruise ships arrived in Turkish ports from the US (1,138) and from the UK (689),” the ministry said.
During this period, 170 private cruise ships arrived from Germany, 100 from the Netherlands, 69 from Italy, 47 from Greece, 22 from Canada, 123 from Malta and 18 from Israel.
