Some 244 companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey from January through March 2020, which is 36 more than in the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TOBB) on April 20.
During the reporting period, the total capital of Iranian companies registered in Turkey amounted to 37.5 million liras ($5.4 million) from January through March 2020, compared to 36.7 million liras ($5.3 million) in the same period of 2019.
From January through March 2020, most Iranian companies were registered in Istanbul (216 companies) with a total capital of 30.5 million liras ($4.4 million).
In 1Q2020, two mining companies, 14 industrial companies, seven construction companies, 101 wholesale and retail companies, 26 real estate companies, 22 travel companies and three financial insurance companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey.
"The rest 69 companies with Iranian capital operate in other segments of the economy," TOBB said.
According to TOBB, the total capital of 101 wholesale and retail companies registered over the reporting period amounted to 13.1 million liras ($1.9 million).
