The number of cargo transportation runs from Turkey to Iran by Turkish trucks amounted to 6,713 from January through March 2020, which is by 34 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND) on April 29.
Over the reporting period, 2.31 percent of the total number of cargo transportation runs by trucks from Turkey accounted for Iran.
According to the association, 112 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Iran in March 2020, which is 97 percent less compared to March 2019.
In 1Q2020, 8,066 Iranian trucks transported cargo to Turkey, which is by 278 percent less compared to 1Q2019.
In March 2020, 315 Iranian trucks transported cargo to Turkey, which is by 93 percent less compared to the same month of 2019.
In the first quarter of 2020, the number of foreign transport runs by Turkish trucks amounted to 290,069, a decrease of 3 percent compared to the same period of 2019.
In March 2020, foreign transport runs by Turkish trucks amounted to 78,646, which is 26 percent less compared to March 2019.
