Turkey had registered 725 companies with Iranian capital from January through December 2020, which is by 245 companies less than in the same period of 2019, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) told Trend.
During the reporting period, the total capital of Iranian companies registered in Turkey amounted to over 171.5 million liras ($24.7 million), as compared to 138.1 million liras ($19.8 million) in the same period of last year.
Meanwhile, most of the Iranian companies were registered in Istanbul (646 companies) with a total capital of over 125.4 million liras ($18 million).
Among the companies 297 were engaged in wholesale and retail trade, 77 companies - in real estate sales, 51 were operating in the sphere of tourism, 48 were industrial companies, 27 - construction, and 6 were mining companies.
"The remaining companies with Iranian capital operate in other sectors of the economy," TOBB said.
The total capital of 297 companies operating in the wholesale and retail trade registered during the reporting period exceeded 52.6 million liras ($7.5 million), added the TOBB.
