Turkish energy company intends to implement several projects till late 2021

The Turkish Elektrik Uretim Anonim Sirketi (EUAS) energy company intends to implement 24 energy projects till late 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources told Trend on July 12.

According to the ministry, 1.7 billion Turkish liras ($196.8 million) will be allocated for implementation.

"Some 180 million Turkish liras ($20.8 million) out of 1.7 billion Turkish liras ($196.8 million) allocated in Turkey for the implementation of energy projects this year, will account for foreign loans," the ministry said.

The ministry said that EUAS allocated 14.7 billion Turkish liras ($1.7 billion) for the implementation of energy projects last year, of which 684.3 million Turkish liras ($79.2 million) accounted for the foreign loans.

Turkey's expenditures on the implementation of energy projects will amount to 16.8 billion Turkish liras ($1.9 billion) as of 2021, while this figure at the end of last year stood at 44.5 billion Turkish liras ($5.1 billion).

Some 125 energy projects will be implemented in Turkey till late 2021. Turkey will spend foreign loans in the amount of 3.1 billion Turkish liras ($357.9 million) for their implementation.

Some 16.6 billion Turkish liras ($1.9 billion) out of 44.5 billion Turkish liras ($5.1 billion) allocated in Turkey for the implementation of energy projects in 2020 accounted for the foreign loans.
