The Turkish port of Iskenderun has received 3,069 ships from January through August 2021, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend on Oct.4.
Of the ships accepted by the port, 528 flew the flag of Turkey, and 2,541 - the flags of other countries, the ministry said.
In August 2021, Turkish ports totally received 4,619 ships, noted the ministry.
Out of the total number of ships accepted by the ports, 1,443 were flying the flag of Turkey, 3,176 - the flags of other countries.
According to the ministry, the ports of Turkey received 33,619 ships from January through August 2021, including 10,285 - the flag of Turkey.
The rest of the ships were flying the flags of other countries.
