BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 23. Chinese citizens purchased 661 real estate objects in Türkiye from January through December 2023, which is 518 less than in the same period of 2022, Trend reports, referring to the country's General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre.
In December last year, Chinese citizens bought 45 real estate objects in Türkiye, which is 36 objects less than in December 2022.
A total of 138 thousand 577 apartments were purchased in Türkiye in December 2023, which is 33.4 percent less than in December 2022.
According to the information, a total of 1,225,926 apartments were purchased in Türkiye from January through December 2023.
"This is 17.5 percent lower than the same period in 2022," the ministry said.
In December 2023, 2,064 apartments were sold to foreign citizens in Türkiye, 67.7 percent less than in the same period of 2022.
Last year, foreign citizens bought 35,000 apartments in Türkiye, 48.1 percent less than in the same period of 2022.
