Azerbaijani wrestlers won three medals on the first day of the international tournament in Istanbul.
The first day of the tournament was successful for Azerbaijani Greek-Rome wrestling youth team, head of public department of the wrestling federation, Aysel Osmanli, told Trend on October 24.
Eldeniz Azizli (50 kg) and Rasul Junayev (66 kg) won gold medals on October 23. Other prospective wrestler Togrul Yunisli (66 kg) won the third place.
Other three Azerbaijani wrestlers, including Gasim Muhammadov (55 kg), Niyamaddin Ibrahimov (74 kg) and Zaur Mehraliyev (120 kg) will join wrestling today.
Shahriyar Mammadov (84 kg) will participate on the last day of the tournament.
