The World Bank (WB) delegation led by Enis Barish, the expert will arrive in Baku on Thursday to identify a new project in the health sphere, the Baku office of the WB told Trend.
The objective of the visit is to hold consultations on development of new projects in the health sphere. If the talks end successfully, the new project will come as a logic continuation of the �Reforms in health system’ project of the WB currently implemented in the health sphere, which will be complete in mid-2005. The WB allotted approximately $5m for this project, while the UNICEF and Azerbaijani government granted $0.5m more.
Thus, the new project which will be implemented under the updated Country Assistant Strategy (CAS), might become the major one during the discussions with the Azerbaijani government.
The WB delegation paid two visits to Azerbaijan from 14 to 25 March and from 2 to 10 May in this regard.
