Regional Economic Co-operation Institute to be Created in Central Asia to Strengthen CAREC Program Activities

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The delegation from Azerbaijan attended the meeting of the working group to co-ordinate the trade policies within Central Asia Regional Economic Co-operation (CAREC) Program, the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan reported. The meeting took place in Manila.

The delegation included the Country Co-ordinator of the program, Department Chief of the Ministry of Economic Development, Samir Veliyev, member of the working group on co-ordination of trade policies, Director of the Economic Development Ministry's Department for Foreign Trade

A Regional Economic Co-operation Institute was offered to be established in Central Asia to strengthen activities of the CAREC program and conduct necessary research. In addition, during the event, seminars were organized on regional co-operation with the participation of the representatives of CAREC participating countries, including Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzia, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and People's Republic of China.
