Iran’s imports from US increases by 177%

The United States exported 6473 metric tons of goods, worth $17.83 million to Iran in Iranian 10th calendar month of Day (Dec. 21-Jan 21), the Islamic Republic's Customs Administration said in its detailed monthly report released Feb. 4.

The US exports to Iran indicates an increase by 177.2 percent in terms of value and 986 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period of last year.

Tehran's imports from Washington stood at $119.15 million during the first ten months of current Iranian fiscal year(March 21, 2014-Jan 21), 28.67 percent more year on year.
Iran imported 27,337 metric tons of goods from the US in the period, indicating a rise by 37.8 percent in comparison with the same months of preceding year.

Imports from the US shared 0.24 percent of Iran's overall imports in the 10-month period (March 21, 2014-Jan 21).

Iran's non-oil trade turnover (including condensates) surpassed $86.261 billion during the first ten months of the current Iranian fiscal year.

The Islamic Republic's non-oil exports (including condensates) accounted for $42.584 billion of the mentioned amount, while imports accounted for $43.677 billion.
