Russia's President Vladimir Putin will make a trip to Iran before the end of the current Iranian year, which ends on March 21, according to Ebrahim Rahimpour, Iran's deputy foreign minister and special envoy for Caspian affairs.
Mehr news agency quoted Rahimpour as saying on Sept. 11 that talks are currently underway for the Russian president's trip.
"No specific date has been set [for Putin's visit] as of now," he noted.
"Development of bilateral ties is on the agenda," Rahimpour further commented, adding that documents are being prepared to further boost those ties.
