A 3.8-magnitude earthquake jolted Sheki region of Azerbaijan Monday evening, the National Seismic Survey Centre reported.
The tremor, which was registered at 8:51 pm local time, occurred 10 km of the regional capital and was felt with intensity of 3 in the city of Sheki. The earthquake caused no injuries.
Earlier on Monday Sheki was hit by two earthquakes with a magnitude of 4 and 2.4.
An earthquake with intensity of 7 occurred in Zagatala, which is located close to Sheki, on May 7, followed by eight smaller tremors.
As a result of the quakes, about 3000 houses and 124 social facilities were destroyed in Zagatala region. There were no deaths or serious injuries.
