Iran's presidential candidate Gholam Ali Haddad-Adel has once again said that he will not step aside in favor of other candidates ahead of the elections on June 14.

Given my extensive experience and good relations with many managers, I can form a cabinet with efficient and revolutionary individuals on board. This is a reason of my decision to sign up in the first place and why I am planning to stay in the race, the Fars News Agency reported.

The former parliament speaker said at a press conference that he has a lot to offer to the nation, and that he will form an all-inclusive cabinet.

The presidential candidate said that it is wrong to undermine the achievements made over the past 34 years just to win more votes, adding that he will not make promises that he cannot fulfill.

Haddad-Adel said that he does not have the financial backing of any organization and that his presence in the race does not go against the interests of the principlist camp.

Haddad-Adel is a member of the Principlist Coalition of Three, along with Tehran Mayor Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and the senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ali Akbar Velayati.

Iran will hold the 11th presidential elections on June 14, 2013.

The voters will choose the successor of the current President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is not able to participate in the elections for the third term according to the country's constitutional laws.

Iran's president is elected for a four-year term in a national election and the Guardian Council vets the candidates for qualifications.
