Iran's Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani says the country supports the current process of democratization in Iraq and is ready to help the Iraqi government and nation under any condition, Press TV reported.
In a meeting with the visiting President of Iraq's Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Massoud Barzani in Tehran on Sunday, Larijani praised Iraq's progressive course in various fields.
Emphasizing Iran's support for democratization in Iraq, he predicted that the country would never go back to its past dictatorship conditions.
Larijani offered Iran's technological, economic and political assistance which he said could help peace and security in Iraq, IRNA reported.
Praising Iran's support for KRG, Barzani said the Iraqi Kurdistan region sees the security of Iran as its own.
Barzani arrived in Tehran for an official three-day visit on October 29, heading a high-ranking delegation to discuss regional developments with Iranian officials.
He met with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi earlier on Sunday.
