Pakistani Taliban killed three pro-government volunteers in a tribal region near the Afghan border, officials said Tuesday, reported Xinhua.
The bullet-ridden bodies of the volunteers, who were kidnapped last week after attack on their checkpoint, were found in Mohmand tribal agency on Tuesday.
Bodies of the slain men were found near a canal at Gadakhel area, 40 kilometers from Ghalanai, center of Mohmand agency.
According to locals the government has no control in the Gadakhel area, which is located close to the Afghan border.
Taliban spokesman Sajjad Mohmand said they killed the volunteers for their support to the security forces.
Taliban have targeted the pro-government tribal militia in the past and according to officials some 150 have been killed in several Taliban attacks.
Pakistanis security forces conducted two major operations against the militants in Mohmand tribal agency and killed hundreds in recent years.
