The basic summer training course as part of NATO's "Partnership for Peace" program at Sachkhere mountain training school has been completed.

Some 23 cadets of the US Reserve Officers' Training Corps and 20 "junkers" of Georgia`s National Defense Academy passed the three-week training course, the Georgian Defense Ministry told Trend.

U.S. and Georgian future officers, under the guidance of experienced instructors, first engaged in implementing tasks involved in mining and technology. The exercises were entirely devoted to practical exercises in the third week. The cadets mastered the technique of movement in high mountainous conditions, overcoming canyons and mountain rivers, first aid, evacuation, and at the final stage passed special tests.

All the cadets were awarded with certificates at the official closing ceremony.
The event was attended by Georgian Deputy Defence Minister Tamar Karosanidze, Deputy Chief of General Staff, General Vladimir Chachibaya and other representatives of the Generalitat.
