The specific weight of revenues from broadband internet services in the network of Aztelekom Production Association of Azerbaijani Communications and Information Technologies Ministry totalled 32.4 percent in 2013, head of the production association's press service, Vidadi Ismayilov told Trend on Jan. 30.
He said the revenue growth was approximately 54.3 percent in comparison with 2012.
"A 41.6 percent growth was also recorded in the number of connections to the broadband internet services via telecommunication nodes. Last year, the number of broadband internet users increased by 69,000, some 48,000 of them being the users of the AztelekomNet state provider. The total number of broadband internet connections in Aztelekom's network amounted to about 180,000," Ismailov said.
The subscriber base of the public telephone network on the operators' telecommunications nodes stood at 679,000 in late 2013.
Ismayilov said that 12.3 phones account for every 100 people (a 0.1 percent growth compared to the figures for early 2013), and 58.8 phones account for every 100 households (a 0.7 percent increase).
Some 16 users account for every 100 households and 27 broadband internet users account for every 100 subscribers.
