Volume of deliveries to Nakhchivan AR to increase 6.3 %

In January to November 2005 the volume of deliveries to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) comprised 5,926,600 tons of different cargo, 6.3% up as compared to 2004. The Transport Ministry told Trend in this period the passenger transportation to the NAR comprised 37,058,100 passengers with a rise of 12.7% over the last year figure.

Incomes from the passenger deliveries made up 104,607,1 million manats, or 13.1% up as compared to last year.

In January to November the total amount of cargo deliveries by all means of transport made up 115.1 million tons, or 8.5% up as compared to 2004. The cargo deliveries made up 23.6 billion ton per km, exceeding the similar figure of 2004 by 13.1%. 56.3%, or 64.9 million tons of all cargo deliveries was implemented by the private sector (+5.2%) and 50.2 million tons вЂ" state sector (+13.2%).

Since the beginning of the year the transportation via the railways of the country constituted 23.5 million tons of cargo, which is 24.6% more than 2004. 73.7% of the total fell on oil and oil products, 19.5% - construction materials and different cargo.

Over the first 11 months of 2005 in January to November the transportation made up 12.4 million tons of cargo, 1.0% more as compared to 2004. 72.3% of the total deliveries fell on oil and oil products and 27.7% - dry cargo.

The sea ports processed 7.7 million tons of cargo, which is 2.1% less than last year.

In January to November the automobile transpiration comprised 62.2 million tons, or 6.6% up as compared to 2004.
