Vaccination to Prevent Disease among Poultry

Mehman Ismayilov, the Chief Physician of Barda District, informed Trend Regional Correspondent that the Barda District Veterinary Department is being occupied with taking preventive measures in the region to prevent the spread of some diseases common to poultry. According to him, the poultry is being vaccinated in order to prevent the Newcastle disease. The State Veterinary Service sent necessary chemicals for these aims free of charge. Measures that are called Lasota being taken in the region. People say that it is similar to nose drops. Mr. Ismayilov also said that district and area doctors carried out instruction work among the population due to bird flue virus. Moreover, employees of the Veterinary Service have conducted two monitoring in the Region over the past month. They took the blood analyses from wild birds and poultry and then sent them to the State Veterinary Department based in Baku. The blood analysis was negative. No threat has been detected yet.
