European Games – grandiose event bringing together athletes, fans, says Belgian gymnast

The First European Games is a grandiose event bringing together the athletes and fans, Ineke van Schoor, a member of Belgium's women acrobatic gymnasts' team that won a gold medal at Baku 2015 told reporters June 19.
There is a wonderful atmosphere at the European Games, she said, adding that the athletes get acquainted and talk to each other and the same can be said about the fans.
Ineke van Schoor said the Belgian team is very glad to win at the first-ever European Games, adding that it is a great honor.
Furthermore, the Belgian gymnast said that there is a great gymnastics arena here, it is convenient both for gymnasts and the fans.
The European Games that kicked off in Baku June 12, will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.
More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
