After participation in the competitions of the first European Games in Baku, Italian aerobic gymnast Davide Donati gained a lot of experience, he told Trend.

"The first European Games are very important for us, since aerobic gymnastics is included in their program," he said.

Participation in the European Games also became a great experience for me, said the gymnast.

"I perform at such major competitions for the first time," said Donati. "Azerbaijan organized the Games well and created all conditions for the athletes."

Donati's partner Michela Castoldi agrees.

"We are very pleased to participate in the first European Games, as well as because aerobic gymnastics is included in the program of such prestigious competitions," she said. "Azerbaijan organized the Games at a high level. The arena, where these competitions take place, is beautiful and very spacious. But what is especially pleasant is that so many viewers supporting athletes watch the competitions. Azerbaijan shows great interest for gymnastics."

Italian gymnasts also said that they really liked it in Azerbaijan.

The European Games that kicked off June 12, will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.

More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
