Azerbaijani tax officers to receive training in France (PHOTO)

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes starts close cooperation with the tax administrations of France and Spain, Azerbaijani Minister of Taxes Fazil Mammadov said during the presentation of the EU twinning project "Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry's support in the field of human resource development" Sept. 23.
"Along with technical assistance, the specific character of the EU twinning program is that it envisages the continuation of cooperation with partner-countries even after the completion of the projects," Mammadov said.
Mammadov expressed the hope that the EU twinning project will create new opportunities for cooperation with the tax administrations of France and Spain.
"A preliminary agreement on the Azerbaijani tax officers' long term practice in France, mutual exchange of experience in certain areas was reached [following the negotiations in Paris in May 2014]," he said. "I believe that the implementation of the twinning project will have a positive impact on the realization of the potential opportunities of the sides as part of these agreements."
The EU twining project covers two years. The project envisages the creation of a long-term strategy and a plan for human resource development, updating the regulatory framework of the Taxes Ministry in the field of human resource development, as well as the modification of the training system in this area.
