BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. Exports from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan increased three-fold, reaching $20.1 million from January through February 2023, Trend reports, citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.

Meanwhile, imports from Kazakhstan decreased by 48.9 percent and amounted to $79.71 million.

Consequently, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan reached $99.81 million from January through February.

Azerbaijan mainly imported common wheat, chemical, and petrochemical production from Kazakhstan. The value of imported wheat amounted to $30.83 million, while the overall value of chemical and petrochemical products exceeded $40 million.

Meanwhile, the key exports of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan consisted of industrial pipes and spare parts, worth around $4 million.

Earlier, the Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, Serik Zhumangarin, revealed that trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan exceeded $500 million. Despite the positive dynamic, the minister expressed his conviction that this figure can be increased to $1 billion.
