Canadian Parliamentarians to Discuss Issues Linked with Caucasus, Azerbaijan & Nagorno-Karabakh

Initiated by the New Democratic Party of Canada, the meeting due at the end of October in Ottawa will focus on the issues linked with Caucasus, Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh, Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijan Strategic Research Center.

The meeting will also be attended by the Head of the Azerbaijan Strategic Research Center, Aslan Khalid. In addition, Aslan Khlaid is a member of the New Democratic Party of Canada (NDP). The party is represented in the parliament by 30 deputies.

Khalid is expected to give a speech in Parliament and touch upon the topics: strengthening of the political-economical position of Azerbaijan in the region, the realities of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, Khojali Tragedy and other matters. The aim is to present the issue of Khojali Tragedy to the attention of the senior officials of Ottawa and the discussions of the Canadian Parliament and achieve the recognition of the genocide on a state level. Khalid will participate in the briefing to be held after the meeting as a member of NDP.
