Azerbaijan, Gedabay, 29 April / Trend corr. G.Rafikgizi / An earthquake took place in the territory of Dashkasan region of Azerbaijan on 29 April at 10.20a.m. According to the information by the Earthquake Detection Station Centre of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Science, an underground impact was observed with a 2.5 magnitude on the Richter scale.
The residents of the region felt the underground impact. There were no victims and damage reported as a result of the earthquake, Javanshir Hojayev, Deputy Head of Executive Administration in Dashkasan region stated.
Dashkasan region is located 390km west of Baku.
