Body of Pilot of Crashed Aircraft Found in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku, 29 July/ Trend , corr K. Zarbaliyeva/ A human skeleton has been found over the waters of the Caspian Sea in Kichik Hamya village of Siyazan region at about 0:07p.m., on 28 July.

Fazil Hasanov, senior investigator of Attorney's Office of Siyazan region said to Trend that an examination is being conducted to find our whether the skeleton is Fakhraddin Asgarov, one of the pilots of MIG-29 aircraft which crashed in the section of the Caspian Sea in Shurabad settlement on 29 January.

According to Hasanov, the results of the examination can confirm these assumptions. The samples of the bones can be sent to the Examination Institute of Moscow for examination.

On 29 January, MIG-29 training aircraft crashed near Shurabad settlement of Khizi region and fell into the Caspian Sea. The crash killed both pilots - Fakhraddin Asgarov and Afgan Aslanov. Though the body of Afgan Aslanov was recovered a month after the crash, the body of Fakhraddin Asgarov is still being searched.
