The blast in the city of Mehtar Lam, the administrative center of the Afghan province of Laghman, occurred near the city Friday mosque, the Afghan Interior Ministry's Spokesman, Zmaray Bashari told Trend in a telephone conversation.
He said the explosion killed several Afghan nationals, including public servants.
The Interior Ministry has yet had a report about the details of incident, said Bashari.
The source at the Afghan Interior Ministry reported RIA Novosti that 35 seriously wounded were taken to the hospital and, in addition, about another 70 people with minor injuries came to the hospital to get help.
The Deputy Chief of the Afghan Central Department on National Security, Dr. Abdullah Laghman and three other members of the Afghan parliament were killed in a terrorist attack on Wednesday morning committed by suicide bombing in the city of Mehtar Lam, reported the local private TV channel Ariana, referring to the representatives of the department.
