Over 3000 children killed in Syria since hostilities began

Over 3000 children have been killed in Syria during the period of hostilities, the Anadolu agency reported with reference to the Syrian Human Rights Committee on Thursday.
According to the committee, most of the children were killed in the city of Homs where this figure reached 746.
Anti-government protests have continued in Syria for a year and half.
According to UN, the total number of victims of the conflict in Syria is nearing 20,000.
More than 230,000 have become refugees with around three million in need of humanitarian assistance. The Syrian authorities say they oppose the well-armed militants.
