RUSSIA’S BORDER GUARDS DETAINED AZERBAIJANI POACHERS’ VESSEL ON CASPIAN

(ITAR -TASS) The Russian border guards detained the Azerbaijani vessel, which crew was engaged in poaching of sturgeon.

According to the report of the Caspian border administration of the Russia’s Federal Security Services (FSB), four tons of sturgeon and catching facilities were found on board of the vessel. The crew was of 11 persons, all of them citizens of Azerbaijan.

There were no any documents on board, as well as any permission to catch fish. The crew did not response to the radio calls, sent by border guards, the border administration noted. The detained vessel is currently being escorted to the port of Mahachkala.
