Azerbaijani fishing boat which got aground is owned by private company

The Azerbaijan vessel PTS -201, which got aground in the area of the Urdyuk cape, 25 km away from Bautino settlement, is owned by the private company, therefore, the Caspian Shipping Company (CSC) is not responsible for the incident, CSC told Trend.

During the rescue operation carried out by the Kazakhstan side 8 people were removed from the vessel.

In Azerbaijan currently the vessels are owned by the Caspian Shipping Company (tankers, ferry-boats, dry cargo vessels, etc), the Kaspmornefteflot division of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) (vessels for oil operations), the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (research vessels) and the State Border Service of Azerbaijan. The rest of the vessels belong to private companies engaged in the fishery. These ships were detained not once in the territorial waters of the Caspian states and the state is not responsible for them.
