Azerbaijan, Kazakh / Trend corr. N. Fatullayeva / A total of 1,624 violations of traffic rules were registered in Azerbaijan's Kazakh region in 2007. As a result of the accidents four people died and seven were injured, Adalat Sadikhov, the Deputy Chief of the Kazakh Region Police Department Station reported.
Some 173 traffic rules were violated by drunk drivers and 115 by speeders. Eight traffic accidents took place in the first three quarters of 2007 in the Kazakh region. Criminal cases were filed against two people.
