Deputy Foreign Minister to Represent Azerbaijan at Berlin Hearings on Lingering Conflicts

France, Strasbourg / corr Trend A.Maharramli /Araz Asimov, the Azerbaijan Deputy Minister, will present Azerbaijan at the hearing on lingering conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, Abkhazia, south Osetia and Pre-Dniester due in Berlin, Germany, on 5-6 November, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) said.

Organized by the PACE Observation Committee jointly with the German Institute of Security and World Policy (SWP), the two-day hearings target uniting and coordinating efforts of leading international experts and government of countries on the resolution of lingering conflicts, as well as definition of the CE's role in the peacemaking process.

Attending the hearings will be Vasiliy Shov, Moldova's Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration, David Bakradze, the Georgian Minister for Conflict Resolution, Edward Linthner, and Uwe Halbakh, the Director of SWP, and other senior officials and exerts.

The PACE said that the Russian Federation will also play considerable role in the resolution of conflicts in Nagorno-Karabakh, Abkhazia, South Osetia and Pre-Dniester, because it to fulfill CE commitments regarding the peacemaking process in these regions.
