Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamgizi / Germany announced 2008 as the Year of Azerbaijani Culture, the chairman of the Mainz-Azerbaijan community Bashar Komur said on 17 November.
Next year, arrangements dedicated to the Days of Azerbaijani Culture will be held in eight German cities, in which the history, culture and ancient heritage of Azerbaijan will be popularized.
According to Komur, officials, cultural and art figures will be in attendance.
The events will be organized by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as the State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Residing Abroad.
The events will last the whole of 2008.
