Azerbaijan, Baku, 29 January / The Azerbaijani opposition Yeni Zaman party plan to take the Justice Ministry to court.

"According to the Ministry, the documents submitted by the Yeni Zaman for registration are currently being considered. Should the Justice Ministry reject them again, we will take them to court," the chair of the Yeni Zaman Musa Agayev said to Trend on 29 January.

The Yeni Zaman was founded in summer 2007 and submitted its documents to the Justice Ministry for registration. However, the Ministry did not register the party as the documents were not developed in accordance with the legislation.

"The papers are already prepared to be submitted to the court. However, we do not wish for the matter to be resolved in court. So, we are still waiting," Agayev said.

According to Agayev, if the Azerbaijani courts fail to solve the problem, the party will contact the European Court on Human Rights.
