Azerbaijan, Baku, 13 March / corr Trend K.Ramazanova / A British diplomat, special representative of the European Commission (EC) in Baku, has been appointed the ambassador of this organization in Azerbaijan, the EC Office in Baku told Trend on 13 March. The EC office was officially opened in Baku on 4 February.
Alan Waddams arrives in Baku on 13 March as the head of the European Commission office in Azerbaijan.
Following the opening of the EC office in Baku, Europe House, which has functioned in Azerbaijan since 2002 to coordinate relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union, will terminate its activities at the end of April.
The EC Representation in Baku will operate on trade and economic projects.
