Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 March / corr Trend J.Babayeva /On 19 March 'Biz' coalition of youth organizations of the Azerbaijani opposition parties will hold demonstrations in Baku, Nureddin Babayev, the senior coordinator of the Azerbaijan Youth Platform, which is part of the Coalition, told Trend on 18 March.
'Biz' unites the youth organizations of the Liberal party, the Popular Front of Azerbaijan Party, the Azerbaijan National Independence Party, Musavat and independent youth organizations. The key objective of the coalition is to increase the role of the youth to develop democracy in Azerbaijan.
Babayev said that a decision to stage the protest was adopted during a meeting of the coalition. The main objective of the action is to increase the public attention to the actual political problem in Azerbaijan. "To ensure the security of the participants in the demonstrations, definite measures have been taken in that the demonstration will not be held close to state institutions," Babayev said.
During the first week of Novruz holiday the coalition plans to hold a demonstration which will include the universities.
Babayev said that 30-35 members of the coalition will participate in the action.
