Azerbaijan, Baku, 19 March / corr. Trend J. Babayeva/ The coalition of youth organizations of the opposition parties of Azerbaijan Biz (We) can split, Nureddin Babayev, the chief coordinator of Youth Platform of Azerbaijan represented in the Coalition, said to Trend on 19 March.

The coalition Biz includes youth organizations of the Liberal Party of Azerbaijan, Popular Front Party, Democratic Party, National Independence Party, Musavat (Equality) and other independent youth organizations. The coalition aims at promoting the role of youth in developing democracy in Azerbaijan.

On 19 March, the coalition planed to stage protest action in Baku. The protest action was postponed because some young activists of the youth organizations refused to take part in them. The protest action aimed at drawing the attention of the Azerbaijani society to the important political problems.

According to Babayev, the chairman of the Democratic Party did not allow the young activists of his party to take part in the protest action at the last moment.

"The chairman said that he can not subject young members of his party to danger, as the planned action was not authorized," Babayev said.

According to Babayev, the youth organization of the National Independence Party of Azerbaijan also refused to take part in the protest action.

"The protest action was postponed due to the refusal of two youth organizations," Babayev said.

He did not rule out that the Youth Platform of Azerbaijan can leave the membership of the Biz coalition.
