Georgian Parliamentary Committee on Protection of Human Rights Applies to Parliaments of World’s Countries

Georgia, Tbilisi, 12 September / Trend corr. N.Kirtzkhalia / The Georgian Parliamentary Committee on protection of human rights confirmed a text of apply, which dealt with Russia's military aggression against Georgia, to human rights organizations of parliaments of the world's countries on 11 September.

The letter deals with facts of violation of human rights during the Russian military aggression, including bombing of cities, villages, hospitals and ethnic cleansing of Georgians. This apply includes statements by separatist leaders on their burning all Georgian houses so that Georgians could never return to Tzkhinvali.

The apply reports humanitarian and ecological catastrophe, vandalism actions on the Georgian churches and abbeys.

The Committee in its appeal expresses hope that strict position of the civilized world will make Russia suspend further aggression and withdraw troops from the territory of Georgia.
