Two Rebels Killed in Afghan Province Skirmish

Afghanistan, Kabul, 12 September / Trend corr. A.Hakimi/ A police officer sustained injuries and two rebels were killed during a skirmish in Afghanistan's Pektika Province in the early morning of 12 September.

Head of the Pektika Province Mohammad Ikram Hapliwak said to Trend that police had detained two people who were attempting to mine a public place in Yahya village. They were arrested, their weapons seized.

Several days ago coalition forces killed two saboteurs attempting to set a mine in Pektika.
