Georgia, Tbilisi, 3 November / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia/ The Labourite Party of Georgia calls on the population to boycott the off-year election and to join the opposition demonstration on 7 November. "The election has nothing to do with democracy. Mikheil Saakashvili holds it just to create a vision of democracy," Labourite Party's Secretary General Giorgi Gugava said at a news conference on 3 November.

"The farce is intended to strengthen the regime of Saakashvili," he said.

According to Gugava, the main opposition parties do not take part in the election. And the parties which do participate are indirectly assisting the administration of the country.

"As to the current unity of the Georgian nation, it will be demonstrated in the Rustaveli Avenue on 7 November, when we will prove to the authorities that current leaders are not the elected representatives of the people and they must leave their offices as soon as possible," said Gugava.
