Ukraine to Never Make Compromise in Question of Territorial Integrity of Any State: Foreign Ministry
Ukraine, Kiev, 4 Dec /corr. Trend Z.Novsvitski / Ukraine will never make a compromise in the question
of the territorial integrity of any state, the Foreign Minister of Ukraine,
Vladimir Ogryzko, said, giving a speech at the 16th meeting of the Council of
Ministers of the OSCE in Helsinki on 4 Dec.
Ogryzko said that in the difficult international situation, which formed in the region of responsibility of the OSCE this year, especial question is to maintain the existing system of regional security and participating states unconditional observance of the basic principles of the Helsinki Final Act, the press service of Foreign Ministry said.
Minister drew the attention of the heads of the delegations of the OSCE
participating states to the need for continuing the participation of
international organizations in the peaceful settlement of "frozen" conflicts,
in particular the mandate on an increase in the number of OSCE observation mission
Ogryzko emphasized the preparedness of Ukraine to participate in the discussions over the last initiatives regarding the creation of the new system of European security.
At the same time, the Minister emphasized the need of maintaining the existing fundamental principles, specified in the documents of the United Nations and OSCE.
