A suicide bomer blew himself up in the Uruzgan province in southern Afghanistan on Feb. 2. The blast killed 18 and wounded several police officers, Afghan Defense Ministry official General Mohammad Zahir Azimi told Trend .
The blast took place in provincial center Trinkot as police officers performed their morning exercises.
Azimi did not unveil the details of the incident. An investigation is underway.
This is the second suicide attack in the last two days. A recent blast in Kabul wounded four people.
Three suicide bombers were detained in Uruzgan this morning, Azimi said.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
